Founded in 2020, COMMUNITY LAB {Nanglerng} is a collective and community center led by residents, artists, academics, and historians working with Nanglerng, a historic slum in Bangkok’s old town. The lab serves as a platform for negotiating land rights and strengthening social ties through art-led projects like festivals, film screenings, and street art workshops.

As Nanglerng residents face contested land rights with no legal claims to their homes, I partnered with COMMUNITY LAB and software developer, Itsara Konsombut, to develop a visual identity and create an online archive—a living space preserving the community’s spirit and resilience despite the threat of eviction.
