This site-specific installation explores the paradox of synthetic materials in modern architecture—designed for durability yet inherently fragile. Observing my family’s new home, built with aluminum, glass, and plastic, deteriorate rapidly, I drew parallels to societal pressures to maintain appearances.

The work layers footage of synthetic materials resembling skin with images of structural collapse, cosmetic treatments, and natural erosion, projected onto glass panels. Positioned before a deteriorating building, the glass screen evokes peeling skin, exposing the vulnerability beneath constructed facades.
