One Thousand Dreams at a Time

‘Too Cute to be Tamed’ group exhibition,
As part of Intersections Art Summit, Bangkok
February 7-9, 2025

This series explores how children perceive landscapes through storytelling, shaping memory and self-identity. As a child, I obsessively drew hyper-feminine worlds—fairy tales, princesses, and fantastical creatures. Revisiting these drawings, I use them as a foundation, layering pencil and charcoal to merge past and present memories.

Through layering and erasure, the work reflects on the selective nature of memory, questioning how external narratives—parental photographs, media, and societal ideals—curate childhood experiences and shape personal histories over time.
