Founded in 2020, Nanglerng COMMUNITY LAB is a collective and community center led by residents, artists, academics, and historians working with Nanglerng, a historic community in Bangkok’s old town. The lab serves as a platform for negotiating land rights and strengthening social ties through art-led projects like festivals, film screenings, and street art workshops.

As Nanglerng residents face contested land rights on land administered by the Crown Property Bureau, many live without formal legal claims to their homes and under the ongoing threat of eviction.

In response, I partnered with Nawarat Welployngam from Nanglerng COMMUNITY LAB and software developer Itsara Konsombut to develop a visual identity and an online archive—a living space that preserves the community’s collective memory, spirit, and resilience amid structural uncertainty.
